My twin sons are a fireman sam addict so they loved the fire engine and his drivers. Unfortunatley the people that designed these items have not quite thought it through. Sams helmet is to tall to fit inside the cab so little ones struggle to sit him in. The door framess are not very sturdy and broke off within two days. The hose ontop of the extendable platform broke off after a month. So all in all I think the manufacturers really need to take a look at the design and come up with something a bit more child friendly.

My wife and I bought this fire engine as part of the full set (choper, ambulance, rescue truck and 4 x figures. Both of our boys 3 & 1 love this. They play with it every day. It takes a real hammering but it is still 100% intact. Its their favourite toy (at the moment!)

Our three year old son has two of these, one with the sound effects and one without. He and his friends have played with them a lot however we have been really disappointed with how unsuitable they are for the age group that they are aimed at. He finds it extremely difficult to get the figures in and so we end up constantly having to do it for him. Also, the doors are flimsy, thin plastic so the window frames have snapped off, and also part of the platform has broken. It has definitely been good for developing his role play skills, but other than that I would hesitate to recommend it.
